Hi I know this was in a previous post but I still cant figure it out! 🙁
I was wondering if someone could help me with the code to make “Main content wrapper background” transparent? Currently I have it as black, but I would like to make it transparent so you can see the background image that I have.
Additionally, is that the same code to make the footer transparent, too? Please help!
You need to create a transparent graphic (use Photoshop or GIMP), save it as a .png file (NOT jpg), and set that as the background for the container.
You can achieve transparency using CSS, but — surprise, surprise — IE doesn’t support it. (At least not consistently.)
Thanks for your reply Kenneth 🙂
Can you provide me with the CSS code for the content wrapper background so I can put in the Custom CSS to get it work? Pretty please 🙂
I am trying to build out the site now using a preview link since my actual site has the Under Contruction static page…
I figured it out!!!!! 🙂
I’m glad. I’ve been meaning to do a tutorial on transparency for some time but haven’t had the time/energy. Hopefully, I’ll get to it in the next two weeks.
