Error message and can't log in.

Hello,
The size of the header was adjusted using the info from http://cjn297.com/graphene-header-height and https://forum.graphene-theme.com/graphene-support/header-image-size-change.
The problem is we now get this message. “Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/djerome/public_html/MillsMinistries/wp-content/themes/graphene-child/functions.php:12) in /home/djerome/public_html/MillsMinistries/wp-login.php on line 349”. And it repeats for lines 361, 669, 670, 671, and 866.
I do not get the log in box so cannot get in to see what is going on. This is the website in question.http://millsministries.deborahjerome.com/ Please advise. Thanks so much.
It’s most likely in your functions.php file. If you added the code from the thread you mentioned into your child theme functions.php file, then you will want to check that file.
Basically, you CANNOT have ANY white space before the opening
<?phpand the closing?>tags.Make sure to use your cursor, and either backspace or delete to get rid of any white space in those two locations.
Hi Josh, thanks for getting back. The biggest problem is I cannot log in. I get all this gobbly de gook and no sign in form for WordPress.
Any ideas on how to get in to check on the white space?
Thanks,
Stacy
What you will need to do is use FTP or your hosting providers CPanel to gain access to your file directories on your website.
Then, browse to
wp-content/themes/graphene-child.Once in that directory, download the
functions.phpfile to your desktop, and delete it from your website. This will allow you access back into your website.
Then, if you’re real savvy… open up that “broken” functions.php file on your desktop and remove the white space as described above. Then, upload it back to your website in the same directory as above.
Problem solved.
Thanks. Seems the problem was a corrupted child theme???? Anyway deleted and reinstalled and all is well. – for now 🙂
Don’t follow this – http://cjn297.com/graphene-header-height
Just do this – https://forum.graphene-theme.com/graphene-support/header-image-size-change
