Error pages

Hi there. I used the Graphene theme for my website cinemasynergy.co.za. For months it was the nicest website and working well. Suddenly last week all pages but the homepage show 404 not found error messages. My pages are all there in place, my menus are correct, I don’t know what to do to fix this problem. Please help.

It could have been some sort of server update done by your host. This is one of the sources of downtime. If your host has some sort of blog or mailing list where they can update you of these things (and they really should), check to see if it’s mentioned there.

Ok there it is again. Only the home page is working, the rest give me the following message: Not Found

The requested URL /residential-services/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache Server at http://www.cinemasynergy.co.za Port 80

I dont know what to do anymore, please help!

Go to WP Admin > Settings > Permalink and click Save.

Thank you,this is a solution but can you tell me what went wrong in the first place? How can I prevent it from happening again?

Don’t know. Somehow your .htaccess file got deleted. Going to the permalink settings and resaving it just rebuilds the .htaccess file.
