Show specific YouTube videos in sidebar widget based on the page/post being displayed
-
I am creating a new WordPress site using the Graphene theme and have pretty much got everything looking the way I want it to.
I have a navigation menu and, when you choose a page, I want to be able to display specific YouTube videos from my YouTube channel in a sidebar widget. The complication comes in that the videos displayed need to change depending on which page is selected.
For example if I select “Page A” I only want YouTube videos with keyword/id “A” to be displayed in the sidebar but if I select “Page B” then I want videos with keyword/id “B” and so on …
Does anyone know of any plugins that can do this or any other way it would be possible?
Cheers
Try widget-logic plugin with Conditional Tags or use Widgets Reloaded

Hi Prasanna and thanks for the info
I think that Widget Logic will allow me to hide things where I don’t want them to be seen but do you know any YouTube widgets that only display specific videos from my YouTube channel depending on the page you are viewing?

I have no idea. Search around in WordPress plugin repositary..
Hi Prasanna
I managed to figure something out based on your initial recommendation to install Widget Logic.
After installing the plugin I created a text/HTML widget (containing the links to the YouTube videos required) to be placed in the right hand sidebar. I then set the widget to only display on a particular page.
It does mean I have to create a widget for each page but now I have the template for the widget shouldn’t prove too much hassle :0)
Yeah, you have to maintain separate widgets for each page.
