Hi

I am using a widget download called Share and Follow. It allows you to select the social media that you want to have appear on a blog post so that people can share it. The odd thing is that when I am editing the post, under the Graphene post-specific options, Display options, AssThis Social Sharing Button, I select “Use Global Setting”. When I preview the post, I can see all of my icons nicely lined up at the end of the post per what I selected in the Share & Follow plug in. However, once it is published, these icons are no longer visible. Thanks for any feedback you might have.

Hi,

Go to your admin panel, under Appearance => Graphene Options => Social Sharing Buttons.

What options do you have selected here?

btw, This is the menu that is being used when you have “Use Global Setting” selected on the post/page editor screen.

Hi Josh

Thanks for posting. I have <Show social sharing button> selected. And I want it to appear on the top and bottom of the post. However I did not fill in anything in the code box as I am using the Share and Follow plug in. Again, the odd thing is that I see the buttons on the post preview it just isn;t showing up on the site once I publish it. Ideally I would like to have my “share” look the same as yours do at the end of your posts. THanks

Well, all I use is some code provided from addthis.com

You may also want to check sharethis.com

Either way, you can paste the code into the social sharing box in the options we discussed, and check it to display both on top and bottom.

I have found this to be the easiest, and most reliable, way of adding sharing icons.
