adding categories and subcategories to front page

    I understand how to add categories and subcategories to each post, but wanted to know how to add new categories and subcategories to the front page. So you can directly click on the categories there and see what posts come up.

    You can either use the widget or add the categories/subcategories to the navigation menu.
