Slider background not fading in IE9, is fading in Firefox 5

    I hadn’t checked the template in IE since I use Firefox almost exclusively. When I checked tonight, I noticed that the background to the featured post slider is faded on Firefox 5, but it is solid on IE9:

    I’m using the default blue fade in the customized theme, so I didn’t change the colors. Is this an IE glitch? Does the fade work in the latest versions of Chrome and Safari (I don’t have either).

    Not a glitch, but simply an unsupported feature on IE9. The fading uses CSS3 linear gradient, which IE9 doesn’t support.

    Gotcha. I’m sure that IE will incorporate it eventually. However, this is one of the reasons I much prefer other browsers.
