Facebook like buttons off center from Others

    For some reason the Facebook like buttons are off center from the others. Here’s what it looks like (site’s new look isn’t ‘live’ yet, hence no link to it):

    FBOffCenter.png

    In the template’s options section, under “Social Sharing Buttons” I put:

    Code:
    <div id=”fb-root”></div><script src=”http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#appId=235939013107755&xfbml=1″></script><fb:like href=”” send=”true” layout=”button_count” width=”90″ show_faces=”false” font=””></fb:like>
    Tweet<script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js”></script&gt;
    <g:plusone size=”medium”></g:plusone>

    I though it might be due to the

    Code:
    <div id=”fb-root”></div>

    line, but when I remove that, the FB buttons don’t show up at all. I tried going into the CSS and telling “.add-this-right” to vertically put everything in the middle, but that didn’t fix it. Any thoughts?

    That looks just about right to me. It probably needs that extra space to show the Like count.

    The horizontal space is right, but the vertical is not. The FB tag is lower than Twitter’s and Google’s. I’m wanting to get them vertically evened out, but adding vertical alignment rules in the CSS for that specific div doesn’t change them.

    Ah..I see..but it’s barely discernible, plus it’s difficult to try to find a fix for it when all we’ve got is a screenshot.

    I’d say just leave it as it is. I suspect not many of your site’s future visitors will notice that 2 or 3 pixels difference, if at all.

    You’re right that most wouldn’t ever notice it, but it was getting on my nerves. Inside the

    Code:
    <fb:like … >

    lime of Facebook’s button code I added

    Code:
    style=”bottom:2px;”

    . That brought it up to be even. 🙂 Not a perfect fix, but an effective enough one.
