Twitter links in a new window

    Could you change the code of the Graphene Twitter widget, so that links in the widget will always be opened in a new window? Or is this not done for a reason?

    I suppose I can, though I’m not a big fan of links automatically opening in a new window/tab. I usually leave that decision to the visitor. Plus, I imagine not everyone would like the links to open up in a new window, which means there would be a need for on/off switch for that feature.

    If there’s enough interest I might add this feature.

    I like the fact that people stay on my site, when they click a link, but I do get your point.

    So, let us know below whether you’re against this idea or not 🙂

    Hi Syahir,

    I agree with Ricardo, my client would like that people are going to their social media page on a new tab rather than redirecting their current tab.

    I’ve requested this and updated in my functions.php as advised, but an update to have the options would be fabulous..
