    Is it possible not to let anyone see the website while i am working on improvements in it?

    Why don’t you use a static front page that lets everyone know your site is still under construction?

    Alternatively, under “General Settings” you can enter a dummy “Site Address (URL),” which would result in “website not found” error.

    Just don’t forget to bookmark your login page.

    Or you can use of the many Under Construction plugins available out there. They usually have some nice placeholder page that visitors will see. Logged-in users will be able to see the full site.
