Search Results not showing a list

Hello! I have been working with your theme for a couple years now while slowly building a new website for my company. I think it is GREAT! I’m getting close to going live, but I have a few kinks to work out, and some styling to add.

Specific to this post, my search results are not showing as a list. I want to search by tags on posts and pages only. For instance, I know the tag “power supplies” should show 2 results, but instead of listing the options that match the search, the result brings up one of the two posts.

The page is Ward/Davis. I tried installing Relevanssi, but that didn’t change anything. I searched this forum and the main WP forum–found a lot of search box issues, but none that are a clear answer to me. I don’t know PHP well at all. Can someone help show me what to change, where to check, etc.?

That is not the purpose of the default search box. It will search for your search string every place in your site.

Why not try a tag cloud?

You are embedding other companies’ websites as frames in your own website? Not a good idea.

    Thanks for your reply, Kenneth.

OK. I get that the search box will pull everything from everywhere. Not an issue. But how can I make it show a list of results instead of just going to the top result? I can’t find where the function is that is telling it to do that.

And thanks for an idea, but my company doesn’t want a tag cloud.

We are using iFrames because of the type of company we are. It is not ideal, but we are trying to capture people on our website and not send them away to others.

Any idea on the search box would be very helpful! I’ve looked on and off for the past month and can’t figure it out! Thanks!
