Remove page from static home page

I've used
```
.post-2589 .post-title, .post-title a {
display: none;
```
in the Custom CSS box to remove the generic home page post from http://lcp.org.uk

However, I'd like to remove the space left between the slider and widgets, not just the title.

Messed around with advice here: http://forum.graphene-theme.com/graphene-support/how-can-i-remove-the-page-title-home-from-displaying-on-my-home-page and http://forum.graphene-theme.com/graphene-support/remove-home-title-banner-from-static-front-page

but no luck so far... Anyone able to help?

Try:

.home #post-2589 {display:none;}
