Hi, I am trying to find a weather app like the one on this page Weather App to copy does anyone know how I can do this on my site? with location and weather?

Also as for backgrounds, is it possible to do a similar background to that same site? as I noticed we are limited to size of background? if that fails, are we able to have a fading background from top to bottom of the screen?

And last question, is it possible to have a pattern/background behind menus rather than just a colour?

You can do a large image for a background (I have), but you have to be aware of bandwidth constraints on the parts of your readers. (I have seen people with images that are over 1mb, which is a disincentive to stay on the site.) You will need some CSS to stretch the image to fit any browser window to avoid tiling on large monitors, and then there is always the risk of distortion.

Yes, just append any background CSS to the body tag. Search online for "css gradient generator":
