I'd like to implement the slider on my site, using stand-alone images and custom text, not text brought in from posts. I've read elsewhere on the site about writing posts purely for the slider, (which will then pull in the featured images and the excerpt from the post). I wondered if there was now a better way of doing this, or if anything has changed in the updates? Ideally, if there is a single page anywhere on the forum where I can read all about the slider, how to set it up and customise it. instead of trawling through relevant posts from users?
