After updating to wordpress 3.3, primary drop down menus in header menu area gets highlighted on homepage. See the below images for a quick look at the issue.

    1. In my main site (http://prasannasp.net), look at Downloads tab.

    2. My test site (http://test.prasannasp.net), look at Test2 tab.

    3. One of my clients site (it’s in Kannada language). Before updating wordpress.

    4. After updating the same site to WordPress3.3

    Any idea??

Sorry for posting this under Bug Report. I know, it’s not a Graphene bug..

    Hi Prasanna,

The menu item that is being highlighted, is it a Page, a Post, or a Custom menu item? Are you ugin Custom Menu or the default menu? I tried to replicate the issue but couldn’t.

    Hi, Syahir,

The menu item that is being highlighted is a custom menu item. I’m using Custom menus in almost all the sites I manage. In the case of my test site (http://test.prasannasp.net) “Test2” item links to my main site, and the child items under it links to some pages within the site.

If you want to take a look at the admin level, I can create a temporary admin account for you..

    Thank you!

    Prasanna,

I have the same issue you do after the update…. I too use custom menu items and not pages or posts.

    Hi Syahir,

Any further developments regarding this issue? It’s happening even after the fresh install of WordPress and the Graphene theme. Please check out my 3rd test site at http://test3.prasannasp.net

    Thank you!

Try switching to the default theme and see if it happens as well? In TwentyEleven theme the highlighted menu is just bold.

Yes, the same thing happens with other themes too. I’ve tested “Twenty Ten”, “Twenty Eleven”, “zBench”, “Matisse”, “ColorWay”, “DroidPress”, and many other themes. But the results are same. So WordPress people should solve this issue..
