I have multiple posts on the blog page. Some posts you may not leave a comment for.
But the blog page will still show below the post to leave a comment, but it is disabled for that post.
Is there a fix for this that I am missing?

Try replacing the theme's
includes/theme-comments.phpwith the updated one here:

MemberWell that worked for the Standard post format. But when you change the post format to either Status, Link, Audio, Image or Video, it still displays the Leave comment. Probably because it's on the top, so it's in a slightly different area.
